El presente Máster en Neurociencia tiene un pasado que veremos en una siguiente entrada, así como el Instituto de Neurociencias que lo acoge: centro mixto del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) y la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche (UMH). El Instituto de Neurociencias debe su origen a un grupo de investigadores que desde 1985 estudiaban la estructura y la función del sistema nervioso. Años más tarde pasó a formar parte del CSIC y al poco tiempo se integró a la entonces recién creada UMH, constituyéndose así en un centro mixto. The Neurosciences Institute owes its origin to a group of researchers in 1985 studied the structure and function of the nervous system.
