Juan Lerma, director of the Neuroscience Institute, Joint Center of the Superior Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and the Miguel Hernández (UMH) University of Elche, where this is taught Masters in Neuroscience, has been elected secretary general of the European Federation Neuroscience Societies (FENS). The Federation represents 42 European national societies, with about 23,000 scientists from 32 countries.

FENS is the main organization of neuroscience in Europe and aims to promote neuroscience research to increase your knowledge at both the authorities and research organizations and the public at large, nationally and internationally. FENS promotes excellence in neuroscience research and facilitates the exchange and networking among neuroscientists in the European Research Area. In addition, the journal publishes FENS European Journal of Neuroscience in order to advance the understanding of the nervous system in health and disease, improving the diagnosis and treatment of brain disorders.
